Green Energy FAQ
Thermal panels can heat 100% of water during the summer and save more than 50% of annual electricity costs for hot water throughout the year.

SOLAR HEATING PANELS
Solar heating thermal panels heat water within domestic and commercial properties and save electricity and energy wastage. Installing Solar thermal panels in a home contributes towards making a property eco-friendly.
How do solar thermal panels work?
Solar thermal panels contain liquid that circulates through special panels and is heated by sunlight, this then passes through a coil in the water tank which in turn heats the water stored in the tank.
Cylinders and thermal solar panels
For this type of solar energy you will need a different type of cylinder to those traditionally used in the home as these need to have more heat storing capacities for the solar heating panels, therefore making them larger in size.
A twin coil cylinder is needed for energy generated by solar heating panels as one coil will be receiving the heat from the collector on the roof and the other coil is used to supply heat from your other main heat source when solar energy (I.e. sunlight) is insufficient.
