Graham helps installers promote boiler scrappage scheme
Following the Government’s announcement outlining its proposals to deliver a boiler scrappage scheme, Graham, the plumbers’ merchants, plans to launch a dedicated website aimed at helping to understand and promote the scheme.
The dedicated website, greenerboilerscheme.com, will provide installers with a list of all Band G boilers (gas, LPG or oil) that are eligible within the scheme and details of how to process any relevant claims through one of Graham’s 230 branches throughout the UK.
On the website both merchants and installers will find downloadable technical literature on the latest biomass boilers, groundsource and airsource heat pumps, as the Government scheme also covers renewable heating systems within its criteria.
Wayne Smart, Graham’s market director, explained: “After much debate and political lobbying from the heating industry, all householders and private landlords can now replace their old inefficient Band G boiler for a high efficiency model and receive £400 in exchange. By viewing this website installers can now bring themselves up to speed with the latest government initiatives and provide their customers with the necessary information that will allow them to make an informed choice on any future boiler change.”
Any updates will be made available on the website, which will be fully functional by mid-January.
