Electric underfloor heating

WHERE CAN THEY BE USED?

Electric underfloor heating is suitable for use anywhere throughout a building. Most commonly, it is installed with a screeded floor but systems are available for most types of construction. It can be fitted underneath almost any floor finish, from carpet to laminate.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

  • Extremely energy-efficient to operate- energy savings of 15%-40% can be achieved.
  • A low temperature system, which can be used with a variety of heat sources including renewable energy solutions.
  • Heat is more evenly distributed around the space preventing hot spots and creating a more comfortable environment.
  • A full range of wired and wireless controls is available to suit any project.

INSTALLING AN ELECTRIC UNDERFLOOR HEATING SYSTEM

Electric under floor heating matting can be installed onto concrete floors; the cables are attached to a foil-faced insulation, sound resilient layer or polythene. A screed is then applied. (If required.)

The system can also be installed within all types of wooden floors and beneath wooden floor coverings. The precise controls ensure that the temperature in the floor construction always corresponds to the tolerance level that the manufacturer of the floor surface has recommended.
